A fresh start for the season ahead.

Spring is a natural time to reconsider our routines. After the slower months of winter, we often find ourselves wanting to eat a little differently, move more, spend time outdoors and refresh some of the habits we’ve accumulated along the way.

Renew takes its inspiration from the traditional Ayurvedic approach to seasonal cleansing and rejuvenation.

Over three nights in northern Ibiza, we’ll explore the relationship between food, daily routines, movement and rest, learning practical techniques that can become part of everyday life.

We’ll cook together, prepare our own massage oils, learn traditional self-massage techniques and explore gentle cleansing practices, alongside yoga, meditation and plenty of time to enjoy being away.

The emphasis is on making Ayurveda accessible, enjoyable and useful. And because food is such an important part of the experience, there will be plenty of it.

Morning: Ayurvedic rituals and yoga

Begin the day with simple traditional self-care practices, followed by gentle yoga, breathwork and meditation.

We’ll explore the ideas behind these routines and how they might be adapted to suit individual needs.

Late morning: Nourishing brunch

A freshly prepared meal inspired by Ayurvedic principles, with time to discuss the ingredients and enjoy eating together.

Afternoon: Practical workshops and free time

Depending on the day, we’ll explore oil blending, self-massage, food preparation or the principles of seasonal cleansing.

There will be ample time to unwind between sessions and relax at the villa.

Evening: Restorative practice and dinner

Gentle yoga, relaxation or meditation, followed by a shared evening meal.

Your retreat, your pace

The cleansing practices will be introduced with care. Participation in particular techniques is optional, and we’ll discuss suitability beforehand.

There’s plenty of space to enjoy the villa and surrounding countryside between scheduled activities.

YOUR HOSTS

Learn with Debbie & Chris

Between us, our work has taken us through therapeutic practice, massage, aromatherapy and Ayurvedic study, alongside years of yoga teaching and deep personal practice. That experience shapes how we teach here: attentive to the person in front of us, interested in the detail and always asking how the knowledge becomes useful in everyday life.

Debbie’s background in specialist neuro-physiotherapy brings a longstanding understanding of working with the body. Chris has spent the past decade leading teacher training in the North East, with a passion for helping people understand yoga deeply. Together, we bring that same curiosity and care to exploring Ayurveda with you.

Immersion matters for this work. You can learn about a morning ritual, experience it for yourself, then return the next day with a question. Meals, movement and rest become part of the same conversation. With time together beyond the teaching sessions, there is room to explore what you notice and how to adapt what you learn to life at home.

We explore the traditional framework of the doshas alongside daily rituals, food, yoga, breathwork and meditation. Oils, a neti pot, recipes and a 30-day follow-on guide give you something practical to return to. Shared meals and walks also make room for the friendships that so often continue long after the retreat, sometimes over a cuppa back at the studio.

YOUR HOME FOR THE EXPERIENCE

A quiet place to settle.
An island to enjoy.

Our private villa outside Sant Joan de Labritja gives us a little world of our own: a salt-water pool, shaded places to sit and pine woodland around us. After practice, you might stretch out with a book, linger over tea or follow the paths into the trees.

Sant Joan brings another side of the island into your stay, with its beautiful church and square, artisan shops and cafés celebrating Ibiza’s farm-to-table food. Market days bring local makers and village life together. We will share what is happening during your stay.

The six ensuite bedrooms each have their own entrance and terrace, so the warmth of being together comes with plenty of privacy. The standalone casita has its own sofa area, dining table and kitchenette. Exact villa details are shared privately with guests.

IS THIS YOUR RETREAT?

The experiences we’ll share

Making your own massage oils

One of our main workshops will be devoted to traditional Ayurvedic oil massage, or abhyanga.

We’ll begin by exploring the use of oils in Ayurvedic self-care, including their different qualities and how they can be combined. You’ll then prepare your own oil blend to take home.

We’ll guide you through traditional self-massage techniques, demonstrating the movements, pressure and practical considerations involved.

Chris and Debbie will provide hands-on instruction where appropriate and with your consent, helping you understand the techniques so that you feel comfortable practising them independently.

It’s intended to be a relaxed, practical session, with time to ask questions, experiment and enjoy the process. You’ll leave with your own blend and a simple guide to continuing at home.

Cooking and eating together

Food is central to Ayurveda, and we want it to be one of the pleasures of this retreat.

Alongside the meals we prepare throughout your stay, we’ll come together for a communal Ayurvedic cooking experience.

We’ll explore the use of spices, traditional preparation methods and the principles behind simple, nourishing dishes.

Everyone can get involved, whether you’re an enthusiastic cook or someone who usually prefers to leave the cooking to somebody else.

We’ll prepare a meal together, share what we’ve made and discuss how some of the ideas might translate into everyday cooking.

There will be recipes to take home, but the experience is as much about enjoying the afternoon together as it is about learning.

Cleansing, nourishment and seasonal renewal

Traditional Ayurvedic approaches to seasonal cleansing often involve simplifying food, developing consistent daily rhythms and making time for particular self-care practices.

Throughout Renew, we’ll explore these ideas through freshly prepared Ayurvedic-inspired meals, gentle movement, breathwork and traditional rituals.

We’ll consider the Ayurvedic understanding of digestion, including agni, and how seasonal routines feature in the tradition.

There will be opportunities to try practices associated with cleansing, while also recognising that not every technique is appropriate for every person.

This is not a fasting retreat or a programme of restrictive dieting. Instead, we’ll explore cleansing as a traditional practice of seasonal renewal, alongside nourishment and rest.
